Suddenly, a fairy appeared and offered him a golden axe, but the woodcutter said, “ This is not my axe. ” Then fairy offered him a silver axe, but again the woodcutter said, “ This is not my axe. ” Then fairy offered him a diamond axe, but again the woodcutter said, “ This is not my axe. ” Finally, she brought his old iron axe. The woodcutter said, “ This is my axe. ” He was happy and took it. All the animals laughed at her. “You’ll never win a race!” said the monkey. One day, the animals planned a race. The rabbit, deer, and monkey joined. Turtle said, “I want to race too.” Everyone giggled on him, but he joined the race. The race began. The rabbit ran very fast, but he stopped to eat carrots. The deer jumped ahead, but got tired and slept on the roadside. The monkey swung from trees, but fell and got stuck. The turtle kept walking slowly, step by step. He didn’t stop, didn’t rest, didn’t give up. At the end, Turtle reached the finish line first! All the animals clapped and said, “ You are slow, but you never gave up! One day, the forest animals were playing hide and seek game. A rabbit ran to Tinu and said, “ Please hide me! The fox is chasing me!” Tinu thought for a moment. He wanted to help, but he also knew lying was wrong. So, Tinu said kindly, “ Dear Rabbit, I cannot hide you behind me. I am too small. But you can run to the big oak tree. It will protect you .” The rabbit listened and quickly ran to the oak tree. After some time, the fox came and asked, “ Did you see the rabbit?” Tinu replied truthfully, “ Yes, he ran that way.” The fox ran off, but by then the rabbit was safe under the oak tree’s strong branches.
